it depends where you go and what or where is the leak. you know that if is where the cover and the cylinder head meets just buy rtv sealer and put some on. if is the cover it self(craked, rust, ect) just buy a new cover aprox $30 the most.
If the leak is large enough, all of the oil could leak out in minutes.
It depends on where the leak is coming from. If it is a valve cover gasket it could be less than $100. If it is a rear main seal it could cost close to $700.
you mean a valve cover gasket i think
How much does it cost parts and labor to replace a valve cover gasket on a 1990 Honda Accord 4door.
$32.75 from autozone for a twin cam
It depends on where the leak is and what is causing the leak.
depending on where the oil is leaking from. sump gasket? rocker cover gasket? hoses? castings?
Not much. A stamped steel, chromed valve cover makes poor sontact with the mating surface area on the head, and the cover is too weak to transfer the tightness of the bolts, so they are prone to leak. The only one I recommend is the MerCrusier cast aluminum type from back in the day. JM
how much does it cost to replace to egr valve on the 2002 mazda protege
Answera '''valve cover gasket''' is not a $600.00 job it takes about 30mins tops. you could do that your self and save the cash. the valve cover is that piece that is on top of the engine, in some vehicles is the piece that has the "hole" from where you put oil in to the engine. 6 bolts tops.now, if he meant a '''head gasket'' then yes it could be $600.00 or more.On my 93 rodeo I had the valve cover gasket changed and it cost me $500.00. It was the labor that costs so much. The mechanic had to take a lot of stuff off that was around the gasket cover to get to and remove the cover. You may want to ask your mechanic how much of that $600 is labor costs.
It depends on model and year. But it goes around $300.00 on Nissan service dealer.
The PCV valve is located on the backside valve cover, its towards the drivers side of the valve cover, tough to get at not much room, just changed mine.
