Right now (November 2008), it costs 85 centos (euro cents) to send a postcard from Italy to the US. If you're in Naples, they'll try to tell you it costs more so you have to buy more stamps from them. Don't worry! It's just the 85 centos.

For me, a postcard from the Midwest U.S. to Europe cost roughly $1. I applied three stamps and sent the postcard on its way.
The cost of a post card mailed from Puerto Rico depends on where you are sending it to. A card send to other places in the US is the same as if mailed in New York or Los Angeles. But it will be different if you are mailing a card to Canada, France, Russia, or Argentina, for example.
