Cabin Crew are not paid set salaries. Crew income is based upon two factors: Air-time and per diems.

Each country has a different pay structure and some countries have strict union-negotiated hourly rates, varying dependant upon seniority and total flight hours.

In the United Kingdom, a flight attendant might expect to average circa sixteen to eighteen thousand pounds per annum.

In the US, the average start pay for domestic cabin crew averages Twenty-two thousand dollars per annum.

In Australia, the average start pay for domestic cabin crew averages Thirty-three thousand dollars per annum.

In Bahrain, the average start pay for Bahraini citizens averages six thousand Dinars per anum, for Asian passport holders the base salary averages four thousand Dinars, plus shared crew accommodation.

In the Subcontinent, the average start pay falls far below 1 Lac per annum.
