Sheetrock cost will varry with the location. I live in semi rural Utah and pay 20 to 30 cents a square foot depending on supply scource, time of year and local demand. If you live in an area where supply is short, demand is high or product must be brought in from a far off or mabey there is a local producer, these will all have an effect on the price. Not much. Sheetrock has a very low profit margin. There is very little money to be made selling sheetrock. Party due to the fluctuating cost of the product, and also because it's damaged so easily by mishandling. Packing and installing sheetrock, however, can be very profitable due to the nature and difficulty of the work.
in southern Tennessee the average cost is 6 dollars per board to hang the sheetrock(4 x 12 sheets) and 12 dollars per board to finish it. This is for the number of boards purchased, One quick note, when hanging sheetrock most people will not piece sheetrock they will only use full sheets, this seem like alot of waste but it results in a look that is smooth and neat. Good Luck
Depending on your area its between $6.00 and $10.00 SF for sheetrock, taping, floating, and texturing. This does not include removal of any sheetrock that might be replaced. You can add another dollar a square for demo.
Consolidated Builders here.. We charge from $1.50sf in NEPA www.consolidatedbuilders.org

Depends who does it. Pros charge different rates depending on where you are. -You can even do it yourself if money is a problem. This is possibly the most mind numbing simple job in construction !
Like many construction things, this depends where you are. Phone around locally and you will find many prices.
yes
No, you may think you can, but the paper will just come off the sheetrock.
