The freon fill amount is on a sticker on the A/C housing on most vehicles.
The amount of Freon you will need to fill your 2001 Mercury Sable air conditioning system is dependent upon how low the Freon level is. A recharge kit will have a gauge to tell you when the system is full.
Does not contain any Freon (R12). Freon was banned and has not been installed in any vehicle since 1995. there is freon in a 2000 durango, its in the air conditioner line, and it takes about 3 to 5 cans to fill it depending on how much is in it. you can buy everything you need to fill it up at walmart.
It should say somewhere on the tag.
The amount of Freon you will need to recharge your air conditioning system is dependent upon how low the Freon level is. You should begin with a one pound bottle of Freon.
yes you will blow the seals out you need to pull vacum on the whole system and watch the guage on the vacum pump when you hit -40 to -50 then fill freon to +65 to +80
Yes, it should tell you somewhere on the nametag what type & how much.
You add Freon on the low side with the motor running. The low side connection port for freon is much smaller in size compaired to the high side, so you can't put it in on the high side. If you are a novis at this, I suggest you buy the charge kit with a gage so you don't over fill the system,(if you over fill it it won't work properly)
Next to the coolant fill bottle on a metal line leading from the accumulator/drier to the compressor. It should have a blue cap on it. And remember...TOO MUCH IS NOT A GOOD THING. It holds 2-12 oz. cans maximum. So if it already has some in it, it shouldn't take two full cans.
As much as the manufacturer says it should hold. They are all different.
