200

The 3.8 in my 1996 put out 200 from the factory. This is the same 3.8 you have. It also puts out 197 lb/ft torque.

i have a stock V6 '02 camaro and it was dyno'd at 224 hp w/ 205 lbs of torque n@ 5500 rpm.

They have 231 horsepower off the showroom floor i know a person that works for GM with camaro's but it also depends on the condition of the engine, how new it is or how many miles it has on it. Power decreases over time.

Its 200hp.

The 231 is the size of the 3.8L engine in cubic inches.

Now 200hp is of course an average, and most cars will be close, but you may get one with a little more or less, although automakers will usually aim low on HP ratings to aviod embarassment, as Ford had over Cobras a few years ago and had to compensate by recalling them to give a larger gear ratio.
