I can answer you this way. I had a buddy at work have his replaced. He has a 1985 F-150 It cost him 600 hundred and some change. He did get some hoses and stuff like that replaced though. Now on the other hand, my step-dad had his replaced on his 1999 F-150 and it was gonna cost almost 1200 bucks. Luckly we realized that he had a month left on his extended warranty. It was the only time he had to use it. Of course I am sure that it depends where you live. Hope this helps you some. Brad.

If you have gas in your oil, then the probablity is very high that your head gasket is blown. I bet your car is running very rough, difficult to maintain idle, and acceleration is poor.
Sounds a lot like a blown head gasket. Happened with my brothers car. Could be a plugged catalytic converter, if the exhaust does not flow freely from the tail pipe this is the most likely problem.
