How do you get at the multi function turn signal hazard switch on a 95 Pontiac Grand Am in order to replace it?

It's a real pain, but you have to remove the plastic cover over the steering column, and tilt the steering column all the way down to get to the screws, there is two at the left of the switch and one on top. It should lift straight up off of a electrical connection and the new one just plugs in, then replace screws and plastic column cover, (the cover is the real harrd part)(both off and on),
