I just replaced my trans. filter and fluid after 100, 000 miles. The owner's manual says 8 quarts of fluid, but that was too much - probably closer to 7. Try putting in 6 quarts, then checking the dipstick and adding 1/2 quart at a time. Don't overfill - it is easier to add more fluid, but you will have a hard time getting it out if you put in too much. ~ray
