I just got a quote from a local body shop to replace both airbags in a 97 Sentra. It could go as high as $2058 if the Controller also has to be replaced, they said. Now, I found on Ebay both the dirver and passenger side airbags, used, for $50 each plus shipping, guaranteed. Further, I found MyAirbags.com who can reprogram or reset the error codes in the controller to eliminate the Airbag Warning light. It takes some mechanic skills, some special tools (low cost and available at Napa) some accurate documentation, and you must carefully follow several precautions to get the job done. But, I'll get it done for under $250, not $2000. Hope this helps
