to be honest, milk is not actually good for cats so it is best not to give them milk.
but you can sometimes get these special milk for kittens from pet shops. you can feed them that from quite a young age.
Kittens drink milk, and the females will need their supply of milk for the kittens on their way.
Start feeding them milk out your hand then try putting milk in the bowl and see if they will drink it
Before they have been weaned kittens drink their mother's milk, you should contact a vet for advice.
A cat gets there milk when they are about 19 months to a year old sometimes they don't get their milk and won't be able to feed their kittens you can get cat milk from your local cat breeder and put it in a bottle and feed to the kittens (a little at a time) a cat might get their milk younger than 19 months- 1 year old if you are not sure if your cat has milk or not take it to your vet and see what they say ( i hoped this helps!)
a bowl of cereal and milk....
Personally, I pour the milk in after.
Up to at least 3 weeks, they should only get mother's milk or formula. After that they can start getting soft food labeled for kittens.
It depends.. The age of the kitten is important.. Kittens can get milk.. it just depends on how old they are. 3 months is the right time you can feed them milk if they are suppoted on their mother's milk. However.. if the kitten does not have a mother, it is encourged that they are to have milk. You are welcome!! -Amber <><><><> Many cats and kittens have trouble digesting cow's milk- upset tummy. There are milk replacements you can get from a vet if you need to nurse an orphan kitten- but would pass on cow's milk. Remember, they are kittens, not calves.
Mostly they can. Some dog breeds are allergic to milk when they are very small. So you may want to try to feed him a small bowl of milk and see how he reacts to it before you start feeding it to him in a bigger bowl. If he start throwing up, maybe he is not fully ready to drink cattle milk and you would have to wait a few more weeks before you can try this again.
after the kitten were weaned because if she was spayed before the kittens were done weaning then she may stop producing milk or the chemical in the gas the vet uses to to put the cat to sleep before surgery could be passed through the milk to kittens poisening them
Most kittens wean well before 10 weeks of age. Some kittens start to take an interest in their mother's food around 4-6 weeks, although some can take longer. Weaning is a gradual process and often takes several weeks. However, a healthy 10-week old kitten should not be on the mother's milk alone; by this age the kittens need extra sustenance and nutrients. The majority of the time, kittens are fully weaned from mother's milk and can be taken from their mother around 12 weeks.
No. Go to the pet store and buy milk made for kittens. They even sell little milk bottles to feed them.
