Ten weeks at a minimum, twelve weeks ideally. Any less and they may have health problems and difficulty bonding with other cats. They have to learn to socialise - that means hunting, cat language and normal cat behaviour - and the bonds to the mother need to dissolve naturally. This happens at about ten to twelve weeks. You will have a pretty messed up, skittish cat if you take it away from its mother too soon.
when the mother hamster has birth dont touch the babies.Wait about 2 to 3 weeks then they can leave their mother. If the baby hamstersdont eat regulaur hamster food or dont drink water right you my have to wait another week Just be pacient
Baby rabbits should be 8 weeks old before they leave their mothers. A six week bunny may leave if they are eating pellets well.
baby lizards have to be 1 year old before they leave their mother
They leave right after they get out of the white pouch thing.
They have to be 6 weeks or older.
Kittens should not leave their mothers until they are AT LEAST ten weeks old, preferably twelve or thirteen weeks.
There are no 3 1/2 year old kittens. By that age, they are cats. The kittens are ready to go to new homes at about 12 weeks.
Mom cats often adopt another cat's litter, especially if the mom recently gave birth. For young kittens, that's okay BUT mom will need more food with protein (e.g. a good dry and wet food). However, 12-week old kittens should NOT be nursing. Separate the older kittens from their "adopted" mom and get them onto dry food.
You can, however, keep in mind the mother cat instinct will tell her to hide her kittens. This is common in the wild. You may move the kittens, only to notice she will move them back, in the cover of night, or when you are not at home.If the kittens are out of harm, it's best to let mom do what she does best...care for her young, in her way.Observe the kittens. Make sure they are getting proper nutrition. If one looks sick, then remove it. Otherwise, it's probably best to leave them where mom feels comfortable.
The lynx kittens stay with their mom until 9 months old.
When their about 10 months old.
Mom cats will nurse every 2 hours or when babies cry. If babies don't cry after nursing, they are getting enough. If they cry after nursing, mom may not have enough milk for all kittens. Take mom and kittens to the vet.
Kittens get milk from the mom immediately. They move away from their mom for short periods between 4-6 weeks. By 6-8 weeks they can be taken away from their mom, such as for adoption. Kittens should be weaned before that time. Moms do weaning.
Kittens and cats have a normal body temperature of 100 - 102 degrees Fahrenheit, plus or minus half a degree.Really
Depends how old the kitten is. If they are 3 months old or over, then they can manage. Any younger and the chances of them surviving are slim.
You have to be 18 to leave by yourself. Nebraska is 19.
Yes. She goes around the house calling for her kittens. If you take them away from her. If they grow up and leave on their own accord, the mother understands and lets them go. If you let them grow up to the proper age before you take them away from them, then it won't be so bad.
