No, it has to be the right one. Take it to a dealer or a locksmith that does remotes.

I have a 2005 Cheverolet ColBalt with 2 remotes, one works and one does not, how do i program it for both to work?
It requires the dealer's scan tool.
purchase and program new key remotes
Most factory remotes have to be programmed into the vehicles computer by the dealership, and cost a fair amount to have done - something about security...
A 1999 Jeep does not have a cabin filter.
A 1999 Jeep uses R134a.
Must be and can only be programmed by and authorized Jeep (this also means Chrysler or Dodge) dealer. Cost around $20.00. Do yourself a favor and take BOTH remotes with you. When they reprogram, both need to be programmed in tandem.
