Implantation bleeding would typically occur around 8-12 days after ovulation. Most home pregnancy test can be taken the day of your missed period. Some can even be take up to 5 days before a missed period, but they are less effective that early...they only detect the hormone in about 65% of pregnant woman. I would just wait until the day of your missed period and take a test, if that is negative then wait a week and take another one. Implantation spotting is less common than people on here seem to think. Fewer women have implantation bleeding than not.

I think a home pregnancy test taken during implantation bleeding would be a little too early to take. wait another day or two and then take it. But it might be OK to take it then. Depends on the test and the woman's hormones. My personal experience is that you can take a HPT during the first implantation bleeding and see a positive result that has inevitably turned out to be accurate. However, Just because it is negative doesn't mean that the test is acurate because all woman are different and sometime a woman's hormone levels take longer to kick in.

With my first pregnancy I just had the implantation bleeding, no cramping, I felt wonderful. With my second pregnancy I had awful period like cramps. I didn't think I could be pregnant because it felt like my period was coming.
