thoroughbreds tend to be tall, 16-18 hands maybe.... 1 hand=4 inches. the profile is generally straight, not dished like its Arab ancestors, and the hindquarters tend to be long and muscled the neck is long, and the chest deep, good for running. Thoroughbreds are the worlds most raced horse

Thoroughbred heights can range anywhere from 15 hh (hands high) to 17.3 hh for the freakishly taller ones. Generally a TB will average 16-16.2 hh.
