lower ball joints are really called part of the lower control arm,so disconnect battery, raise vehicle, remove sway bar links from lower control arms, disconnect ball joint stud from from steering knuckle,MARK POSITION WITH WHITE PAINT, remove inner mounting frame thru bolt and nut.
THEN remove the rear mounting bolts, remove clamp if there, remove the rear rod bushing ,if servicing, may as well since your there. THAT's IT.

The eagle 2000 gtx is the exact same car as the Mitsubishi Galant, and the similar Galant had production years from 1989-1993, from my sources anyways. Either track down a repair manual for the Galant or go to alldata.com and pay the $20 for the online repair manual version to the Galant.

You can remove your 1993 Mitsubishi alternator belt by loosening the tensioner pulley. Slide the tensioner pulley to the right. The alternator belt will become loose and can be removed. Reverse the process to put the new alternator belt on.

They are labor intensive if you just replace the joints. What I do is replace the shaft which in the long run is cheaper. Two options: buy a good used one at a salvage yard ( approximate $75.00) or a rebuilt unit ($125.00 exchanged. )Check prices and warranties. Good luck.
