I have a 2001 Excursion Limited. It should be identical to the 2002. Just to the right of the headlight switch should be what I call a roller switch. It just rolls up and down. To dim them, just roll it downward. It will also turn on your convenience lights when rolled all the way upward.

It is located on the passenger side behind the glove box. It has the relay that goes to the inertia switch (emergency fuel cut off switch).

"Multi-function switch" usually refers to the turn signal/wiper control module which is located on the steering column at the base of the signal/wiper control lever.
