You can use an ethernet cable and connect your laptop to your xbox, then in Network and Sharing Center press change adapter it should bring up your ethernet wifi card ect right click on your wifi (probably called Wireless internet Connection. In the right click menu press properties. There should be two tabs at the top of the window that comes up Network | Sharing, click on the Sharing tab. Check the Allow other network users to connect through this computers internet connection. Use the drop down menu and select your ethernet port. This instruction was for a win7 laptop, XP and below should be similar.
Good Luck
Also this is called Adhoc internet, because it has to connect to your computer, and through that your router.
plug the wifi connector into the back of the console, next turn on your xbox and go to network settings, go to Configure network, next go to search for an acess point, then you can connect to you wifi
Basically yes, any laptop with wifi capability and within wifi network will work. Other factors might contribute, is the wifi has public access, can you connect your laptop to the wifi network available and might be the wifi network required certain fee access that you may or not willing to pay.
The fact that your other laptop can connect to wifi is irrelevant to whether or not you have disabled wifi on the laptop that is reporting that wifi is disabled. Go into your settings and make sure you haven't inadvertently turned it off.
No you need wifi. 3G would not have enough bandwidth.
first you need a router and internet access, your laptop should detect the network
To connect to the internet via wifi you will need: A wifi enabled laptop/pc OR a wifi card/adapter. A wifi router/network with the internet connection connected to it. As long as your router is set-up correctly and your laptop is fairly new you shouldn't have any trouble connecting to the internet.
No it can not. you need a specific router to be able to use xbox live. It is possible to use an ethernet cable to connect to xbox live, or you could do what i do which is using my laptop as a connection bridge to connect to the xbox using wifi.
no, you could just go to system settings, and then network settings and click wireless and you can join into your wifi.
Subscribe to an ISP for internet such as IVC Telecom and then connect your laptop to the modem with an ethernet cable or connect wirelessly using wifi, assuming your laptop has a wireless network card.
To my knowledge you cannot connect your xbox w/built in wifi to a dsl connection without a wifi converter
WIFI can connect PC and laptop.
Have wifi connection
