Wow good luck! Its quite a job, just replaced mine on a 1994. You will need to drop the steering column, remove the arm rest and shift knob. Remove all of the bolts holding the dashboard and unplug all of the wiring underneath the dash. You will find the core behind the blower motor housing and acctuator door. Iwas able to remove the two rubber heater hoses on the engine side of the core without removing anything from the engine except protective plastic. Once those are off push, pull, bang the old core out toward the passenger seat. The new one should slide in fairly easy. Be careful, I bought a heater core after market and it was manufactured slightly different than oem and it never pushed through the firewall holes. It took two before I got the right one. Its not a real technical job but it is very time consuming. A new core was about $35 and I spent about $16 on new hoses. A repair shop would probably have charged $800 to $900 to fix it. Just try to remember where everything went and keep track of the wiring.
