If the belt goes around the alternator, lossen both bolts on the alternator, give it a shove towards the engine and then remove the bolt. If the belt goes around the water pump, lossen both bolts on the idiler pulley and then remove the belt.

the only thing that I have found to be successful was to just move the belt around the fan.
You need to remove the upper hose and then the fan shroud on the upper half. The fan clutch is then held on with 4 bolts. Remove these and the fan will slide out from the engine. You might need to loosen the belt so you can turn the fan and get to all 4 bolts. With the unit removed you can then remove and replace the fan on the clutch assy. Reinstall in the reverse order.
The belt is accessed by removing the fan guard, fan and heater hoses. THen remove the belt covers. The lower cover will require you to remove the belt drive. Once removed you can remove the old belt and reinstall it. Since the realignment process is critical you will need to get a manual to follow the steps. REMOVE THE SINGLE DRIVE BELT, THEN REMOVE THE 4 MOUNTING BOLTS BETWEEN THE FAN AND THE BELT PULLEY. THE FAN MIGHT NEED TO BE WIGGLED OFF
Loosen the component slide it towards the engine to lossen the belt, remove belt. Install in reverse. If the fan is your problem it is held on with 4 small bolts, remove them and the fan. P/S you should be able to work the belt around the fan blades without removing the fan. On_mitch
Remove the fan shroud remove the radiator remove the fan there is a fan in front of the radiator fan, loosen the sway bar on that and lower it a little so you can remove that belt loosen the alternator sway bar belt should be loose... replace belt reverse to put everything back you will need a ratchet and 10mm socket keep track of your bolts.
