I suggest you get this done at a bodyshop or your mechanic's. It's not the thing to do at home if you have no experience at it. If you don't do it right it can go off in your face and you will get hurt. It's only an hour or two labour at a shop, well worth the expenditure.
The 1999 Pontiac Grand Am AIT sensor is located on the outside of the air filter housing. The sensor will be on the back of the housing.

The computer is located inside of the air filter box and behind the filter compartment.
Ram the forward portion of the vehicle into a brick wall at 5 mph or more & the air bag will conveniently come out.
Answerthe intake air temp sensor is located in the air duck.probably right after the air filter box.
