You need to use CD burning software and burn the files on to a writable disk.

If you have windows XP or later, you can use windows explorer to burn files onto the disk like any other storage media

Is there a way to record from mic to CD in vista?

Sure use the audio recorder to record your audio file (voice, kids, music etc.). Save the file this should default to being a "wave" file, you need to do the "save as" then ask it to save as a MP3 format or what ever format you want to save it as that will play on your C.D. player. Once you have done the "save as" just put it into you CDrom burner drive and the system should tell you you have files waiting to be saved to CD. Burn your disk and presto Your Voice On C.D. ! Cheers
