Answer 1:

Some say god didn't , whilst others say God did (there is a difference). Others say that we evolved from other animals. Another group claims we are the result of breeding between native life and alien life. None of these groups can say that their version is the correct one or the only one.

Another viewpoint: Prior to the publication of Darwin's "Origin of Species" exactly 150 years ago, one might be forgiven for thinking that some kind of god created people. However, Darwin's theory of natural selection has universal acceptance by the scientific community; and further developments such as Gregor Mendel's discoveries in genetics, and the identification of DNA have all confirmed that all species are mutations of earlier species.

The USA, despite its general sophistication, is unusual in having large numbers of people still believing in creationism. In Europe, where religion has less of a hold, the majority of people accept neo-Darwinism as the truth.

A 2009 film, "Creation", which described Darwin's family life (and his fraught discussions with his devoutly Christian wife) after he returned from his voyage on the "Beagle", was not shown in the USA because a distributor could not be found!

Answer 2:

It is misleading to suggest that Darwin's theory of evolution has received universal acceptance by the scientific community. Many scientists do not accept this, understanding that it is indeed a theory, not a fact. Scientific fact must be provable and repeatable. The theory of evolution is neither.

Therefore, those who choose to believe that God created people make their choice based on the same faith that those who believe in Darwin's theory have. Neither can be proven scientifically, but either can be believed by faith.

The question asks: "Who created people?" The simple answer to this particular question as it stands is: God.

According to Christians, the first man, Adam, was made out of the dust, by God, to be the leader over all the animals. God says man (humans) were created in His image, meaning we have souls. The first woman, Eve, was made a little after Adam. God told Adam to choose a partner out of all the animals, but when Adam couldn't find a suitable one, God made him fall into a deep sleep. While Adam slept, God took one of Adam's ribs and made Eve to be Adam's partner. Adam and Eve were created by the direct activity of almighty God. It seems that there is a significant difference between the creation of mankind and of everything else. In all other cases God spoke the creative word 'Let there be...' and things came into existence, probably as the outworking of God's 'thoughts' or 'decision' as to how they were to be. This of course included all the natural laws governing their life and biological processes, the environment, DNA, reproduction etc. Even though man was made from the 'dust of the ground' this would be suggestive of all the material elements which are components of the human anatomy, including water, and not just 'dirt' such as we get on our shoes. Clay is certainly pliable, especially when containing water, and so this image of God 'forming' or 'fashioning' man suggests a 'hands-on' approach in this case, unlike the entire rest of creation.

Then again, according to Zoroastrian belief, Ahura Mazda first brought all things, including men and women, into being in a disembodied, spiritual state, then gave it a material existence.

In Hindu belief, Brahma was born from the seed of his own will. He created the first egg, the first object of creation and life. Having emerged from the egg without cracking it, Brahma, now physical, divided the egg into four parts - man, woman, heaven and earth. According to other versions, Brahma himself split into a female and a male who together created the earth's peopIe.

In Daoist belief, P'an Ku also created the substance of all things. His breath became the wind and clouds, and his voice created thunder and lightning. The various parasites on his body became the first peopIe.

According to the theory of evolution, Humans and other mammals evolved out of tiny, rat-like mammals that lived alongside Dinosaurs, after the Dinosaurs these primitive creatures developed the ability to briefly stand on two legs to see over the tall grass in search of predators in southern Africa. Soon they began to stay on two legs for extended periods of time. The first time one of these primitive monkeys used a stick to dig out termites. They developed more advanced tools, such as spears, and things progressed from there.

Those who believe in the theory of evolution regard it as a scientific theory which follows purely naturalistic processes. They do not believe there was or is any necessity for creation in any form to have occurred. Adam and Eve, according to this theory never existed as man came about gradually and was not fully formed and perfect as stated in The Bible creation account. They thus tend to shun the use of the term 'creation' or 'created' since it implies divine activity which they explicitly exclude from the evolutionary process.

The biblical accounts of both the creation of man and of woman, are not intended to scientific biological textbooks but speak of profound personal reality in that the maker fashioned the first man and made the first woman from that man in an act in which He was personally involved. How He did this specifically is probably indescribable in human terms, considering the complexity involved. That He did so indicates His great interest and personal involvement in humankind, especially as those who were made in His image and thus are capable of knowing Him.

The answer provided below is one possible opinion. However, your question has a simple answer which can be found in Genesis 2:7. It says, "And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul." There is no confusion in this passage. It is straight-forward.

While this is also a viewpoint, it is a clear and concise answer to the question without all the extras.

Another View:

To answer your question, "How did God create people?" Well, that is a good question and one that is not easily answered. I don't profess to know a lot about the Creative Forces but I understand there are a couple schools of thought on the subject. One is the creation story most of us have been taught from childhood and the other is the truth on the matter.

First, God created our Spirit which is all the goodness, loving and kindness that is in all of us, more obvious in some people than in others. Then there is our soul which is made up of all the experiences we have had, good and bad, while on this earth.

Us, people, our bodies are right now living one of many exciting adventures in this earthly realm.

One of the best ways to look at your question is as follows: people and everything on earth and in the heavens above were created from 92 elements. So we are made of the same things as the sun, the moon, and the stars. Which makes all of us children of the stars.

Answer

First we must look again at your question "How did God create people? If you are referring to all people then He did not create any but two, Adam and Eve. All others are born of earthly mothers and are conceived buy the act of sexual intercourse with their husbands. However, Adam and Eve had no earthly parents, and so by the power of the Almighty the dust or elements that were available on the earth were organised into their respective order to form our first parents. No sexual act was performed by any one, but by the power of God who had command over the elements were our first parents formed.

The scriptures tell us that God breathed into Adam the breath of life which is to put into Adam his spirit so that he became a living being. This was also done in the case of Eve.

May I conclude by saying that as per scripture, God took a rib from Adam to form Eve, this however if only symbolic meaning that they will walk through life side by side as man and wife.

I write this simple explanation for your consideration.

Another Opinion:

God did not create people. People created the idea of God to explain things they could not understand. Later, this idea of a God was used for controlling and oppressing people.

If indeed God created people, we have two explanations in the Book of Genesis, from which we can choose the one we like the most.

In the first creation account in Genesis, at verses 1:1-2:4a, God created everything in just six days, by simply speaking them into existence, and then rested on the seventh. He created man (both male and female) last of all, simply by saying "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness." And then he blessed them. Appropriately for this account, God is referred to in the Hebrew text as El Shaddai ('God Almighty).

In the second creation account in Genesis, at verses 2:4b-25, God created a man (Adam) first and and then a woman (Eve) some time later. In this, more primitive creation story, God's powers are more limited, and he can not make living things out of nothing. He makes Adam out of moist earth and breathed into his nostrils to bring him to life. Then he made each of the animals by forming them out of moist earth. Eve was special, because God took a rib from Adam's side and used this to create her.

As long ago as the sixth and fifth centuries BCE, Plato and Aristotle suggested that the entire natural world, including humans, forms one system. This means that modern humans must have been created in the same way as other animals. Modern science tells us that all the animals in the world were created by natural selection, as species evolved over millions of years into new species.

A fossil that has been given the species Sahelanthropus tchadensis, dated to around 7-6 million years ago, may be the earliest hominin species, thus our oldest ancestors. So, modern humans have been created by up to seven million years of gradual evolution, as our ancestors adapted to their changing environment.
