Europe:

Thousands of years of history would have been lost had the Islamic Empire not taken and continued expanding the knowledge built by the Roman Empire. During the dark ages, all scientific knowledge was virtually wiped out in Europe. They litterally relearned this knowledge during the renassance.

But here goes one history teachers effort.

Slavery and the slave trade was introduced into Africa by the Muslim so this could mean without the introduction of Islam slave trade would of been less likely..

or it would of happen a lot later in its history...
