I am confussed I eat around 1500 cals a day and walk an average of 3 miles daily and yet I still dont lose any weight My current weight is 190 and I am 5ft 9in tall?

You are not counting your calories properly and/or not walking an average of 3 miles daily and/or are making this up..you didn't mention how long you've been at it..1 pound of your fat contains about 3500 carbs so to lose a pound of that fat you'll need to keep at it for quite a while

If you walk 9 miles a week how much weight will you lose?

You could walk five miles a day and gain weight. Losing weight depends on eating less calories than you expend. Walk or run if you can run without injury and eat less, means you will loose weight.

How many calories does a 3 mile run?

About 300 to 350 calories, for the average person.Varies with speed, but about 400 caloriesIt depends on your weight, and the course you are running, flat or hills etc. On an average 3 mile run, I burn 400 calories according to my equipment :-)

How many calories will a two mile run burn?

Depends on your weight and how fast you run/jog. I'm about 194 pounds and if I run 12 miles at about an 8 minute per mile rate I'll burn between 1700 and 1900 calories depending on what source you use. There's plenty of calorie calculators out there.

Do you burn more calories by slower or faster speed?

Calories are a measure of the energy required to do work. Work is (scientifically) weight times distance. So if you carry your body weight over one mile you will have done (your weight) times (one mile) work. If you walk two miles it'd be (your weight) times (two miles) work, or twice as much. Time isn't part of the equation. If you walk one mile in one hour you will lose less weight than if you walk two miles in that same hour, but the same as if you walked two miles at that one mile per hour pace--that is, in two hours. So, you see, speed doesn't have anything to do with it--it's all in how much you do.

How many calories does a 100 yard dash burn?

How many calories are burned from bike riding 6.5 miles?

If you ran 3 miles and burned 420 calories about how many miles would you have to walk to burn 420 calories?

per mile equals to 100 calories burnt. so 3 miles would burn 300 calories. It depends on the weight of the person walking and at what speed. It depends upon your age, your degree of cardiovascular fitness, your body composition, how fast you are walking, and whether you are walking on flat ground or an incline (as well as your weight and how far you are walking).

If you weighed 280 pounds how many calories could you burn in a mile how many miles would you have to walk to lose a pound?

What would a person have to do in order to lose twenty pounds in three weeks?

Each pound of fat is equivalent to 3500 calories, so in order to lose a pound of fat, an individual has to expend that much energy or curb his dietary intake by that amount. For example, if he were to exercise away 500 calories daily, he would lose a pound in a week. Alternatively, cutting his intake by 500 calories would accomplish the same goal. In order to lose seven pounds weekly, he would have to save or expend the 3500 calories every day. Since most of us require 1500-2500 calories daily, depending on activity and metabolism, that would require a great deal of exercise. A rule of thumb is 100 calories for a mile walked; therefore, a daily loss of a pound would require a daily walk of 35 miles OR curbing intake by 1000 calories, probably not a healthy choice, and walking 25 miles daily. Note: it takes the same energy to move a body one mile whether it's done walking or running. The only variable there is the time.

How much weight will you lose if you walk 5 miles daily?

It depends on your diet. IMPROVING ANSWER: If you don't change your diet at all, then it will depend on how much effort it takes you to walk a mile, or five. Are you fat and get all sweaty and out-of-breath as you walk? Then you might burn 900 calories an hour, or maybe 1200 calories during each 5-mile walk. But if you are already in good shape and fit and used to exercise, then walking 5 miles might not take much effort out of you. Maybe only 600 calories for each day's walking. But whatever amount of calories you burn up when walking, you will need to burn up about 3,500 calories "extra" to lose each pound of body fat.
