your timing marks are off.Recheck your marks and if your not sure where they are at check the dealer for a diagram. My 1996 had indents on the back side flange of the oil pump and cam.the crank I lined up with the outer timing cover
Changed the plugs wires cap n rotor on a 92 ranger 3.0. Now it wont start. Do i have to set the timing,n if so how?
Check firing order, timing, etc. If it will pop but not start it sounds a lot like timing. Check the plug wires and make sure they're connected right.
check out the starter......
Check to see if your vehicle jumped timing.
If it is getting fuel and fire timing must be off check your repair manuel on correct time setting marks. Trying to start a engine out of time could cause major damage. Because the valves and piston have to work in sequence. Improper time setting could cause valves and piston to hit together.
If it started previouslt then something disconnected (sensor etc) or timing is wrong
Chain is not timed correctly.
i changed timing belt and timing chine but my car know need good fix and not start very well, please help me
Double check the timing marks, maybe they are not lined up correctly after you changed the chain.
IF your previous timing chain broke, you most likely got your "cam to crank" timing out of whack. If it didn't break and it wouldn't start before you changed it, your first basic steps would be to make sure your engine is getting fuel, spark, and air.
Do you have the Correct firing order 18436572
That's an easy one! There is no timing belt. It is a timing chain. I have 130,000 miles and have not had any trouble. It will start making noise when it is time. Unlike timing belts which will break, timing chains wear out slowly.
