Oil pump, too thin of an oil, or the oil need changing. I run 5/30 in mine, but you may need 10/30. I wouldn't run straight 20, it needs the lighter weight to get all the places it needs to.
If you suspect the sending unit may be faulty just replace it with a new one, they are not expensive but a little difficult to remove and replace.
If you know it is full of oil and you are using the correct filter, then I would suspect a defective Oil Pressure Sending Unit. It can also possibly be a defective gage.
It doesnt. The police use it if they suspect someone drinking and driving and get the suspect to breath into it to tell them if the have been drinking.
I would suspect the oil gage is bad or the oil pressure sending unit.
This is a guess, but I suspect the person means the electron degeneracy pressure.
If it is leaking it is bad. Otherwise you just replace it if you suspect it to be defective.
I would suspect that your oil pump is malfunctioning and not supplying enough pressure.
If you indeed have no oil pressure, then the oil pump is probably bad. But saying that, are you sure you have no pressure? The oil pressure sending unit can be bad or disconnected. Also the pressure gage can be bad. An oil pressure test will verify if you indeed have no pressure. Not sure of the engine size but I know on a 2.3l the timing belt can be suspect to although rare if the engine is running ok, and if there is truly no oil pressure you should hear the lifters banging/ and or bottom end knock.
first thing is find out what the check engine " light is telling you, Code PO????. then you will get an idea to your question . 2nd answer: I would first suspect low fuel pressure.
17 city and 23 highway would be the best you can get. That is if the vehicle is not loaded and is driven the speed limit. Expect less with a full load and driving over the speed limit. If your check engine light is on suspect a defective Oxygen Sensor. That is a prime suspect when the mileage suffers. If the check engine light is not on, I would suspect you may need to replace the spark plugs and wires on this vehicle especially if it has over 75,000 miles on the odometer. Make sure the tires a inflated to the correct pressure as listed on the driver's door post or in the owner's manual. Make sure to replace the Air Filter every 30,000 miles.
If you are have fuel gauge problems I would suspect the sending unit in the fuel tank to be at fault. Rarely the gauge is the problem.
I suspect it is because the pedal return is weak. My Park Avenue does the same thing. I can lift the pedal with very little pressure from my toe and the indicator goes off.
