Our Tribute is doing the same. Anyone help?
It can be the sensor or have the cap checked out.
The caps in these go bad. You can replace the cap/container (sold as one unit), or try putting in approximately 1 qt of coolant above the full line (sometimes this works).

The bank 2 is located on the driver side of the engine on the Mazda Tribute. The Sensor 2 is located after the catalytic converter.
90,000 miles and it's NOT an interference engine ( according to the Gates website listing for the 2.0 liter 4 cylinder engine in a 2002 Mazda Tribute )
The 2004 Mazda Tribute has two different engines. The 4 cylinder engine uses 4.5 quarts. The 6 cylinder engine uses 5.5 quarts of oil.

Drain plug for the radiator for Mazda Tribute 2001 is located on the right side bottom of the radiator. You'll need to remove the right side mud guard to be able to access it.
It's no cage it means either low coolant or to have the coolant system checked
It is the amount of oil that the engine requires.
