Within the United States, accreditation is extremely important! The preferred accreditation is a regional accreditation. There are six regional accrediting agencies as indicated below with their geographical areas of responsibility. When you choose a school within the US, make sure the institution has one of these. With a regional accreditation, you can be assured the coursework and degree you complete will be recognized by all other colleges and universities as well as employers.
