I will be doing video editing but no video games. A 2500 dollar range to compare with the MacBook Pro and a 15 inch screen is prefered. What college laptop should I buy this year that is not an Apple?

I will not restrict you with my answers rather just tell you the things that you should focus on while buying the laptop you want.
- For Video editing a laptop with larger video memory like 2 to 4 GB will be good.
- A multi core processor. Dual cores of Intel are good but it will be better if you can get a quad or Octa core processor.
- Make sure the viewing angle of screen is 178 degrees and the screen is at least full HD 1920 x1080
- A extension slot for SSD. DVD drive.
- 3.0 USB ports.
- Dell Inspiron 15 5559 15.6-inch FHD
- Dell XPS13 13.3-Inch Full HD ( I know you want 15inch but a better laptop can be 2 inch smaller)
- Lenovo Z70 17.3-Inch Laptop ( This one is good)
These are all below $1000 or a little above but are really good.

∙ 7y agoPurchasing the computer also has to do with the components you choose. Editing videos will be much easier if you have expanded memory. You may also want to compare available video cards.

Instead of getting an extremely expensive MacBook Air would it be a good choice to buy an iBook G3 or G4 for 200-400 even though they were discontinued?
Answer 1:Okay do NOT get an iBook over a Macbook EVER!!! iBooks are very old and extremely slow. they cant have all the programs a macbook can get either. And do Not get the macbook air. get the macbook or the macbook pro. The air would break easier and doesnt have a disk drive. Macbook may be expensive, but it is worth is.Answer 2:The G3 iBooks are too old to be useful but the G4 iBooks are fine if you are web browsing, emailing, Facebooking, text editing, using iTunes and iPhoto etc. They can run Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard).They cannot run 10.6 (Snow Leopard), the latest versions of iMovie, other movie editing /music creating software nor the latest games which will require a newer MacBook.
How do you making minecraft texture packs not using painterly?
Use WinRAR to open the Minecraft.jar file, and in that, you will find a file called Terrain.png. Open it up with your prefered picture editing software (I prefer Paint.Net) and edit away! Make sure after you are done editing, save and drag the picture back into the Minecraft.jar file.

Film making and editing is a very demanding process. At the very least, you will need some form of camera if you are doing live-action video, because this does not have a built-in webcam. For more powerful editing, you might be better off looking at a powerful desktop. Also, I've heard that Macs have a better reputation for their video and music editing software and hardware, so you might be better off with a Macbook.
Which laptop is best for an incoming high school freshman MacBook Air or MacBook Pro?
It all depends on what you need it for.If most of what your doing is taking notes, web browsing, word proccessing, etc, then the MacBook Air should be fine.If your an enginering student, doing HD video editing or other heavy processer work then the MacBook Pro would be better for the long run.With the newer Apple laptops you will need to max out the ram as you won't be able to upgrade later as the ram is permanently install.

Apple sells only only one version of the Macbook Pro 15". You can upgrade the processor, ram, hard drive, and display if you wish. If you are using this Macbook as a student, I would recommend you get the Macbook Pro 13" base model and save yourself $600. It is all a student will need. However if you are looking for the best laptop you can get for your own use then the 15" is the best of the best. Unless you are doing graphics and or video editing you have no need to upgrade it. Only you know what you need.

What mac is better the air or the pro?
it depends... Pro has better things in it and is better for the pro and better for editing movies and other things like that Air turns on in like 5 seconds and o is awesome but doesn't have some important features like a CD drive. I would prefer a macbook Pro but i just have a macbook.
Does final cut pro come installed in a MacBook Pro?
No only Imovie. If you want your macbook to come installed with final cut pro then you have to order it online and pay for final cut pro separately. Then when your computer is shipped it will be shipped with a copy of final cut pro.
