yes it will
There are 2 ways to do this. #1- go to autozone, and ask them to do it for you. THey will take an obdII reader out there an erase the codes. #2-disconnect your negative (most likely black) power cable from the battery, and give it a half hour for all of the memory in your car to erase. Read you owners manual on battery failure...it will tell you how to reset your idle conditionas and perameters.
If you have just changed the battery and you haven't driven car much you need to wait a little while the ECU leans all parameters. In case you drove your car for a while and it's still doing that, erase all codes from the ECU memory.
I mean OBD2 scanner If all you want it to do is read and erase the codes, a cheap one for under $60 is all you need.
I don't think it is possible but, just go to your local AutoZone and they will read all your codes. They will not erase them as it is illegal but at least you will know what is going on
That's the downside to buying action replays and gamesharks they can mess up you console or delete all of your saved codes.
Have someone scan the car... and erase all codes... if that's not it, your module is bad
If the battery was dead or disconnected all trouble codes will be erased.
Disconnect the battery for a few minutes
Disconnect your battery cable for a bit and then reconnect.
unhook the battery for 5 minutes thiss will erase all error codes (and preset radio stations) if the SES (service engine soon) light comes back on take it to a mechanic or buy a OBD2 code reader
Before you reset (erase all stored trouble codes) have the OBDII system scanned and the trouble codes retrieved. Resetting can be done with the OBDII scan tool, or by disconnecting the NEGATIVE battery cable for a couiple of minutes. Disconnecting the cable on some vehicles causes other performance codes to also be erased and the vehicle may run rough for a few miles until the computer "re-learns" the settings.
When you take of the game of the thing when the ds is still on and reinsert it you'll see green and pink lines that means..... it's erasing data
