Make sure that you lubricate the latching mechanism on both doors. A part of the latching mechanism on my driver side door was sticking, so even though I had my door shut tight and locked, the latching mechanism would trigger the doom light into thinking the door was open, even though it was shut.
Only suggestion I can give to fix the problem.AnswerFixed min with WD-40 in the door latches
also, your headlight switch, turn knob to the right.you can control dash and dome lights this way.
yes by spraying the latches in the door with a good penetrating oil you can free up the switch that is in the latch this switch is replicable but hard to replace Ive had to do my 98 ranger Manny times also my 2003 explorer does the same thing always been able to get them to work by spraying them
1995 ford ranger back-up lights stay on, replaced switch, how do you check for a bad switch
Check your brake light switches. Chances are its the front one. The clip that holds the switch in place may have fallen out or the lever isn't hitting the switch.
Blast the switch with some wd40 and push it in and out a bunch of times, this usually works on fords when the light wont come on but its worth a shot. If no luck you will have to replace the switch.
I believe the light for the cargo area is turned on with the interior courtesy lights by rotating your gauge lighting dimmer wheel switch all the way UP ( The switch is located just to the right of the headlight switch )
My BMW is doing the same thing I believe it is a bad light switch.
To replace the brake light switch on a 1995 Tahoe, first disconnect the battery and push the switch up at the ends towards the firewall. Slide the switch towards the passenger side. This will release the brake light switch from the actuator point.
How do you replace a break light switch on 1995 Chevy Tahoe
Behind the kick panel - passenger side.
why or how do i find the brake light switch on my 1997 nissan 200sx. how do i chane it out.
I would assume you have either a "Door Ajar" indicator or the Dome light stays on. I don't know if it applies to the 95 but on our 97 the switches are located on the door latch mechanism inside the door. WD40 spray on the door latch really worked for the Dome Light problem, I would guess it will work on the door ajar switch as well.
THAT IS USUALLY AN INDICATION OF A BURNED BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH. SWITCH IS USUALLY LOCATED ON THE BRAKE PEDAL ITSELF. DISCONECTED AND IF THE LIGHTS GO OUT YOU HAVE FOUND YOUR PROBLEM , SIMPLY REPLACE IT.
AnswerIf the lights work on the flash to pass but do not work otherwise either the switch is bad or the dimmer switch is bad. I just am working on a 1995 Ranger and found the dimmer switch to be bad. I checked the headlight switch and that was good so I found the dimmer switch to be the problem. I jumped the wires after unplugging the dimmer switch and lights come on. Replace the headlight dimmer switch and good to go! Hope this helps.
replace stop light switch
On my 1995 Ford Explorer if the switch has been tripped so that no power is going to the electric fuel pump , the fuel reset light comes on in the gauge cluster in the dash
DIMMER SWITCH OR WHAT?"How_do_you_remove_instrument_cluster_on_98_Ford_Ranger_to_replace_cluster_bulb"My 1995 Ford Ranger dashboard is dark, the control to the cab light is operational. I have installed a JVC Stereo with is the only light I have on the dashboard. Do I need to remove the steering wheel to get to the components of concern?
by the light istself there is an ON/OFF switch.
It's programmed to come on around 60 and 120k I believe. Anyway behind the left front speaker is a switch to turn it off. No problems to worry about. If you switch it and it still stays on then have it checked out, but otherwise it's normal.
i think that means you need gas in your vehicle
on the transmission also called a mlpl switch
If you mean the inertia switch (emergency cut-off switch), it is located behind the passenger side kick panel just below the glove compartment.
The brake light switch was probably knocked out of adjustment. Crawl under dash and look for a plunger switch that contacts the brake pedal arm. Pull the switch away from the arm by a few clicks. That should do it. PULL THE FUSE TO RESET THE BRAKE COMPUTER AND THE LIGHT STAYS OFF.
Check the kick panels
what causes the EPC light or messasge to appear on mercedes s320 1995?
need help with a ford ranger the blower switch all been replace that there all work .but still no heat So told that there are a door that turn from Ac to Heat some where upon the dash .
If the switch is bad or out of adjustment, then the door ajar light will stay on. The overhead light will not go out, and the security alarm will not set.
