Probably not because it would likely be seen as your decision to quit. In order to qualify for unemployment a worker must: * Have worked a certain number of weeks during the year
* Have earned a certain amount of money in the past year
* Be actively looking for work
* Be unemployed through no fault of his own
Where you would have problems would be with the last prong. An argument can be made if the company is moving to another state or somewhere that would require you to completely uproot your life but otherwise it will be seen as your fault that you are unemployed.
First -- I am NOT a lawyer. As general rule, if you quit a job, you are not eligible for unemployment benefits. If you lose your job through no fault of your own, your eligibility will be determined by the rules of the state you move to. A period of residency may be required.can you collect unemployment if you quit your job to move out of state?what are the terms and conditions of collecting unemployment if you quit your job to move out of state?
Yes. Profit is irrelevant.
No. It is beyond what a company can require a worker to do. They might fire you or you quit, but their actions would not prevent you from being eligible for unemployment benefits.
No. You QUIT the job. To get unemployment you have to be fired.
I don't think you can collect unemployment if you QUIT your job to relocate. If the company was relocating to California (or anywhere farther than 50 miles- I think), and you did not want to relocate, then I believe you can get unemployment.
No unfortunately you can't only if you were wrongfully fired or your company closes
No. If you quit your job, you are not eligible for Unemployment benefits.
The state unemployment office determines it based on why you quit. Did you have good cause? Good cause is determined by the state and its unemployment office and is documented in their cases that were previously resolved. What was the reason that you quit is the primary question. Was is due to your ignorance, lack of following the rules of that company. Or was it deception on the part of the employer. id the employer lie about the hours or wages. Are they cheating you on your wages or are you the real problem that caused yourself to quit
I don't believe so but you should read this link; [moved to related urls] They seem like they know what they're talking about. You have to make sure you meet the requirements and everything to receive unemployment.
Don't do it, if you end up with only one day a week and you quit unemployment will stop your benefit because you quit. Unemployment considers it acceptable work.
You can't get unemployment when you quit a job. You can only receive benefits if you lose your job through no fault/decision of your own.
I don't see why you would have to quit school. It looks like you are putting everything in reverse order. Are you trying to quit school so you can get a job in order to quit the job and get unemployment?
