NOTE: Serial Numbers repeat every 10 years. - great...
No answer but..... You might try posting this question in a guitar or musical instrument section. I own a Yamaha FG-140 guitar. Great guitar, but I don't know how to relate s/n to production date.
These go for anywhere between $140.00 to $225.00 sometimes more. this is back when Yamaha was the best guitar to come out of the orient.
my father bought one, in japan about 37ish years ago.
140 pounds
i would say about 140- 160 km
120/90x18 front 140/90x16 rear
I think that would make it 140 kilograms and 186 grams
The tires on a 1984 Yamaha Virago XV1000 are 100/90-19 for the front tire. The rear tire should be 140/90-15.
With company air filter its 100 - 110 km/hr With K & N its 140+
140/90-15 for rear and 100/90-19 for front.
The Yamaha sniper 135cc can go up to 180 kph. This is the maximum speed it is set to go at but the top speed in most cases is usually about 140 kph.
You didn't specify the year but these bikes are very similar in size. The Wide Glide weight is about 140 lbs more and it has a 1584cc motor as opposed to 649cc in the Yamaha. The Wide Glide's cost is double that of a Yamaha.
