If someone has a long distance friend and the friend has not responded in a week should they contact them again or is that too pushy or should the person just give up?

Im 16 and Ive moved around the world all my life, I've recently moved back to England from Australia and I stay in contact with about 3 of my friends that I had for 2 years. I try to stay in contact with others but they don't make the fort half as much as I do. Id say give it another go, if you don't get a reply then there's no point in making an effort if they're not going to do it too. You know who your real friends are :)

After, when she's in contact again, it's obviously because she wants something else now.
