I don't QUITE understand what your trying to explain but i can tell you this...
I think its best you leave him be and until he comes to you as a SINGLE man, i suggest for your own good to back away, because the blame is always put on the woman when these things happen
I don't mean to tell you what to do but just giving my opinon
And in my opinon he wants to continue the relationship with you but wants to wait till the dust has settled and its safe to continue.
