Not to be a know-it-all.. Lol, but what the correcting person above is wrong. From experience, switching between phones while on Verizon is usually an easy process done quickest in-store. If you are switching between plans as well, you would have to simply add/drop certain components of it to suit the phone's capabilities. No cost is charged for the switching itself from Droid to a Blackberry, and vice versa, as I did.
Also, if you want to switch to a device sold by them, you would have to pay retail for the phone. I would suggest buying from a cheaper, third-party option, although you'll still be paying a pricey tag nonetheless.
ETF for High end phones is now 350 or 375, I believe, if cancelling your plan.

You can switch carriers all you want, of course, but you would need a Verizon phone to use on the Verizon network. If you have an unlocked phone, you would want to call and verify it with customer service. Their number is 1-800-922-0204, by the way.
No. The only Verizon Wireless phones that use SIM cards are Global Phones. SIM cards are only used for the GSM technology. Verizon Wireless runs off of the CDMA technology. So... if you switch the SIM card, the phone still won't work because it has nothing to do with the CDMA and that's what Verizon Wireless works off of. HOWEVER, you can activate a Verizon Wireless phone on an existing account by dialing *228 pressing SEND then choosing option 3.
Apple is not signing a contract with Verizon Wireless. However, Verizon Wireless has signed a contract with Google and now carries two Droid phones. Which does all the things the Iphone does plus some! Check them out!!
