A wedding is really just a ceremony to celebrate and show that you're getting married. I think it would be sort of odd to have another wedding just because of a marriage license technicality. Maybe you could just renew your vows and make the whole thing less formal than a regular wedding. Your friends and family might think you just want more presents if you have another wedding.

Answer

Unless you have told others, then say nothing and go to the court house to make it legal. If you were married in a church I have no idea how you managed to get married without that license. The above poster is correct in saying it would be odd to have another wedding. I wouldn't even celebrate it again. You are married and just need the paper to prove it. If you want to celebrate have a second honeymoon even if it's a mini holiday or night in a luxurious hotel.

As long as the individual is not married it will not. They could be charged with perjury, but it is unlikely.
