Is your blower motor working? If so, Sounds like it is either in the control switch that controls the mix of hot and cold air. I have to turn my temp knob back and forth after it has been in one position all summer. Feel if there is any resistance when changing from cold to hot(blue to red) If none felt, its in there. Mine usually works after I have turned it back and forth a few times. You may have to take it out and clean the connections.
MY CAR WAS DOING THE SAME THING NO HOT AIR COMING OUT OF THE HEATER I CHANGED THE THERMOSTAT. IT WASNT THE THERMOSTAT. I GOT TO CHECKING AND THE SEAL IN THE WATER PUMP WAS BAD. I REPLACED THE WATER PUMP AND IT WORKS FINE NOW.

hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it can take anywhere from 2 to 5 hours all depends on if you know what your doing. oh and don't waste your time getting a haynes for it, trust me it has everything there is to know about your car except for a heater core.
Some are getting weirder, some are doing both, a few are getting wiser. Many aren't doing either.
fill up the system turn heater knob all the way to hot and run engine and keep your eyes on the temp gauge don`t let it overheat what you doing is getting the air out of the heater core when gauge started to clinb to much turn engine off and wait about 10 minutes be careful at this time put more coolant in reservoir (you can do this on a hot engine as that is water but antifreezze).run engine again the reason for doing this is because the heater core is mounted abovedthe engine
my 1999 winstar was doing this and it was the blend door
