Sealer means it will be the last step of the project. You apply acrylic sealer to salt dough after it has been painted.

If the walls are painted lime coloured latex or acrylic, you can. If enamel, you can not. Maybe test a small part in an area that is normally unseen .

It is actually oil on acrylic on canvas. Not just oil.
Goo Gone or Goof Off will both do this easily.
