If you know the name of the Trojan, go to Google and run a search on the name. More often than not, the results will turn up more than one AV application that will remove it - often AV and/or Ad-ware removal software that you can download free. You can also check some of the other posts here in the Computer Virus topic for names of good software.
Here's a friendly bit of advice: Once you've removed all threats from your computer, uninstall Kazaa and any file sharing software like it - Limewire (probably), iMesh (definitely), whatever. Otherwise, you will constantly be plagued by trojans and other little nasties no matter what kind of AV or firewall protection you use.
My father-in-law has iMesh on his computer. He keeps finding spyware, adware, malware - basically, invasive crapware on his HD. In fact, one virus he kept getting that his AV program would catch came directly from iMesh itself. I did some research on it. Apparently, the virus (forgot the name - it's been a while) was what the application used to find the folder it saved your d/l files in.
He hasn't uninstalled iMesh, yet he can't understand why he keeps getting so many trojans and malware. It's so bad that I won't accept any e-mail from him, until he gets more reliable AV software and uninstalls iMesh and other high risk apps.
I'm not implying YOU are using Kazaa for illegal file sharing, but many, many people do. Some of them are not nice people and deliberately corrupt files.
I find it sort of poetic justice that people doing this tend to get these unpleasant little surprises with their pirated music or software. And for those people who use file sharing apps. to exchange legit stuff. Is it really worth screwing up your computer just to trade and d/l free stuff?
Get rid of it all! And before you d/l anything similar in the future, you can run a 'net search to learn about it - does it contain Spyware.
eMule is a trojan. It causes havoc on my computer. I downloaded it once, and it caused havoc on my computer that took me 2 months to clean.
