Hey Bill==It is probably the idle speed solonoid. Have it checked out. GoodluckJOe
Remove the intake and exhaust manifolds. Remove the head. Torque the head and manifolds to the correct torque and sequence, you will need a repair manual for this.
The 1996 Ford Probe SE that has a rough idle can be fixed by locating the MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) Sensor and replacing any damaged wires. The EFI or Electronic Fuel Injector can also be the problem. The engines of today no longer have an adjustment screw to turn to set the idle.
need to replace the fast idle valve. they are only located a the dealership.... good luck need to replace the fast idle valve. they are only located a the dealership.... good luck
The idle speed is computer controlled. You need to scan the pcm for faults, read it sensor data, and decipher why the idle is incorrect to repair.
Could be in need of a tune up Could have a vacuum leak
YOU NEED 12MM 12 POINT 3/8 DRIVE DEEP IMPACT SOCKET. NAPA HAS THE SET YOU NEED
What work needs done? You will need a good set of metric tools, and the rest depends on what is wrong with the engine.
You cannot. As it is EFI, therefore controlled electronically, you would need to plug it into a diagnostic computer to access the idle speeds etc.
not in the state of new york
either caliper is seized up and stuck to the rotar or the bearings need to be replaced!
My 2000 V6 Sonata shakes while at idle also. I discovered I need an oxegen sensor and more importantly an "Idle Air Control Valve". 239.00 is the average and hard to find. .
Depends on if (and how may tmes) the cylinder has been bored.
