it can take up to 2 years before you period gets regular but bleeding twice a month is not something you have to put up with. Sometimes Birth Control pill can help the hormones get back on track. Ask your mom to see the doctor.

Although the average length of your menstrual phase is around a week long, a little longer can be normal for some women and especially for teens due to hormonal imbalance. If your period lasts longer than 3 weeks, or you start to feel weak before then, talk to your doctor to stop the bleeding and check your hormone levels.
