You first have to pull off the valve cover to identify you are on #1 TDC you then turn over engine and line up the crank dampner with the timing pin. Check valves on #1 cyl to see if they are both loose if not turn 360 degrees and check again. Once you are there turn it to 18-22 degrees depending on engine design install pump. To time the pump remove the shut off lever cover and turn pump till the line on the pump head lines up with the line on the housing. Install gear torque gear bolts to 30 ftlbs install lines and covers and bleed then run.
