The carburetor will have to be taken apart to install a new fuel float. After the top is off, the float sits in the bowl resting on a rod. Pick it straight up, remove the needle and install it on the new float. Put the carburetor back together with new gaskets.
first install new carb gasket to intake manifold and then 4 nuts hold the carb to the intake studs and then install the throttle linkage to the carb.

67 chevelle's never had fuel injectors, they had a carburetor.
you will need to replace the intake with an intake for a carburetor,install carburetor and replace the distributor with one which has a vacuum advance(a late 70's 305 or 350 will work well). you will also have to install an electric fuel pump for a carburetor (lower pressure than the fuel injecton). remove the relay powering the pump in the tank if the whole wiring harness is not removed.
Plug one end to the Petcock and the other end to the Carburetor......

The following is a step by step procedure of changing a fuel filter on a 1985 blazer:1. Pop the hood. Locate the fuel line running into the side of the carburetor. Hold one wrench on the fuel filter canister and another on the fuel line, then disconnect the fuel line from the canister. 2. Remove the fuel filter canister from the carburetor, making sure the spring and ball that make up the check valve doesn't fall out of the carburetor. Discard the old filter. 3. Install a replacement filter into the filter canister, then install the assembly into the carburetor. Install the fuel line onto the canister using a pair of open-end wrenches.
Remove the fuel line from the carburetor using a 5/8 and a 1 inch wrench. With the 1 inch wrench remove the fitting from the carburetor. Install the new filter with the spring first.jd
You can get a rear sprocket wheel with fewer teeth. You can also install a set of bigger carburetor jet needles instead of the original one. The original jet set is called 100, but you can buy oversized jets of the sizes 102 and 105. Finally, it is possible to install the XR100 carburetor on the XR80 but it takes some work.
