No. The United States of America is a totally different structure. Although some of our laws may have their roots in Roman law, just as most other western countries, they are different. America is different culturally, religiously and legally. ancient Rome's society was based upon the good/benefit of the state, America's society is based upon the good/benefit of the individual.
