Bank 1 is whatever side cylinder #1 is on, could be front or back.

bank 1 is both sides of the v 6 bank 2 is on the cat on a 2001 grand caravan bank one just tells you where to look for the upstream 02 putting an 02 on bank two would mess up and confuses the pcm because the pipes are connected front to back they used a map sensor on the intake and a heat sensor instead of mas air flow sensor
the rear bank
A 2001 Caravan with the 3.3L does not have a bank 2. Bank 1 sensor 1 is the one screwed into the rear exhaust manifold. It is the sensor that is screwed into the exhaust manifold on the back of the engine.
As viewed from the front of the car, bank 1 is the cylinder bank to the back. Sensor 1 is on the manifold pipe upstream of the catalytic converter. It is visible, but not reachable, from the underside.
If you are sitting in the driver seat 1-3-5-7 is on the left head from front to back. #1 cylinder is the first spark plug in the head up front. IN THE FRONT OF ENGINE.
The firing order is: 1 2 3 4 5 6 The rear bank are odd number, and the front of course are even. Back 1 2 3 4 5 6 Front If the rear bank are odd numbers, and the front even numbers, it should read like this: Back 135, front 246
"bank 1" refers to the side of the engine with the forward most cylinder(cylinder#1).... all bank 1 is that side of the vehicle... bank 2 is the other side and sensor 1 is first in line from front to back
