ANDERSON, Ind. - State and city leaders joined Nestlé USA executives today to officially break ground at the site where Nestlé will open a new U.S. factory and distribution center in spring 2008.
Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels joined Anderson Mayor Kevin Smith; Nestlé USA President, Beverage Division, Rob Case; Nestlé USA Vice President and General Manager, Ready-To-Drink Beverages, Steve Presley; and leaders of local and state economic development corporations to officially break ground at the ceremony. The event lasted about 30 minutes and was staged at the 190-acre construction site.
Nestlé's planned $359 million, 880,000-square-foot factory and distribution center will produce and distribute NESTLÉ® NESQUIK® Ready-to-Drink and NESTLÉ® COFFEE-MATE® Liquid products. http://www.insideindianabusiness.com/newsitem.asp?ID=19334#middle

∙ 15y agoWith a financial incentive from the state of Utah, The Hershey Co. says it will build a distribution center in Ogden. The center will create about 125 full-time jobs. Hershey is expected to invest $38 million. The Pennsylvania company is the nation's largest candy maker, know for Hershey's Kisses, Reese's, Kit Kat bars and Twizzlers licorice. Hershey had nearly $5 billion in revenue last year and employs about 13,000 people worldwide. Construction will start in spring. The incentive offered to Hershey is worth as much as $2.6 million.
