YES. Poland is a PARLIAMENTARY REPUBLIC. The members of both Houses of Parliament, the Sejm and the Senate, are elected by popular elections every four years. A Parliamentary Republic is a form of indirect democracy.

As a historical question, Poland became a democracy in 1989 as a result of the negotiations between the Communist Party of Poland and the Opposition (led by the Solidarity Party). The two groups were able to create a democratic constitution without bloodshed in the wake of the Fall of Communism in Eastern Europe and the Dissolution of the Soviet Union.
