He just sounds inconsiderate. Men often don't realize the wise thing to do would be to go to dinner with his parents and ask you along so he could introduce you to them. Sometimes young men are just secretive and really don't want their parents to know what they are up too (they want privacy.) Perhaps he and his parents have made some other plans and he'll be busy. Sounds to me like he really still cares for you if he wants you to send long emails. If you were wise you wouldn't tell him everything you are doing while his parents are here. Let him sweat! If he is up to something then he'll be curious to know what you're up too and wonder what he's missing. Always have an air of mystery about you (as long as it doesn't hurt someone else.)
